In case anyone was wondering...
...i'm taking a brief hiatus from designing over the holidays. I'm going to post a quick summary of how i've done this year in a few days time, but other than that I won't be working on anything until the new year. I've got ideas, i'm just gonna give myself some downtime while I can.

Good news everyone
I checked my email last night just before I went to bed to see if I'd made any more sales, and to my surprise I found that someone had bought 10 Sonic t-shirts in a single transaction. That's the most i've ever sold in one fell swoop, which is pretty nice. So far i've sold a total of 127 Sonic products, but that's split between stickers, kids clothes and t-shirts. I think i've sold around about 93 Sonic tees so far, whilst the design itself has been viewed over 8,500 times. I can't believe how popular it's been, it's sold almost twice as many as my second most popular design (my Daft Punk design).
So I say thank you to the random Australian who bought all those t-shirts last night, it was a nice early christmas present for me.

About that set of new designs...
...they're on their way. I've got 3 out of the 4 done, although I just need to neaten and fine tune the third before moving onto the final one. I've been crazy busy with work lately, so I haven't had a whole lot of free time to get this stuff done unfortunately, and when I have been free i've either been exhausted or busy with other business, so the tees have taken a bit of a back seat unfortunately. But I have tomorrow off, so with any luck i'll get the fourth and final tee done and dusted and then I can upload the entire set at once.

New set of designs coming
I started work on a set of 4 new shirt designs last night, pretty much on a whim. I won't give it away until it's all finished, but luckily the designs themselves don't take much time to complete, so hopefully I should have them all uploaded by the end of the week. All i'll say for now is that it involves heavy use of image typography; I haven't done an image typo design for some time now, so I felt like it was overdue.

This week
I've slacked a bit this week I must admit; I didn't manage to get as much sketching done as i'd planned, but what I did do was worthwhile.
I mentioned an Exeggutor design that i'd sketch this week, and I did sketch it. After doing it however I didn't really like the idea so much; i'm not sure why, it just didn't look the part. I suppose it's a good lesson for the future; I can sketch stuff out beforehand and if I like the idea as a sketch then I can press on with it; if however I don't like it then i've saved myself the time it would've taken to make it in Photoshop only to throw it away.
After doing the Exeggutor sketch I moved onto another idea that i'd had; it was going to be a parody of the three wolf moon design featuring the three Pokemon Entei, Suicune and Raikou instead of the wolves. I even considered swapping the moon for Lunatone. I started to do a sketch and thought i'd do a quick search on Deviantart for any pictures of the three legendaries howling, as I could use those as reference points. Lo and behold however, it turns out that somebody else has already done my idea EXACTLY as I had pictured it in my head. I could of course carry on and just make it, but I don't want to anymore. I like my stuff to be as original and one-off as possible, and the fact that it exists somewhere else has really put me off the idea. It's a shame, but that's the way it is.

Luckily I already had had an alternate idea for the three wolf moon parody. I won't say what it is just yet; I want to do some sketches for it first. I'll try to make up for my week of slacking off by getting a scan of the preliminary sketch posted asap.
